1.PRABAL DOSTYK – 2017 – India and Kazakhstan joint exercise.

India and Kazakhstan 14 days joint exercise “PRABALDOSTYK – 2017” begins in Bakloh, Himachal Pradesh. The aim of the exercise is to enhance military ties and to achieve interoperability between India and Kazakhstan. 

2.21^st World congress of mental health- New Delhi. 

President Ram Nath Kovind, has inaugurated the 21^st World congress of mental health. This is the first tie the world congress of mental health held in India.

3.POWERGRID completes grid connectivity to Leh-Ladakh region. 

The State run Powergrid  corporation has successfully completed the 220 kV voltage transmission line connecting Leh-Ladakh region in Jammu and Kashmir. This is built in altitude of over 11500ft, which is highest ever substation built in India.

 4.BRO builds worlds hightest motorable road at 19,300 ft. 

The Border Roads Organisation has built the World’s highest motorable road passing through Umling la Top in Ladakh and connects Chisumle and Demchok villages of Jammu and Kashmir at a height over 19,300 ft.

 5.ISA and  EBRD signed agreement on solar energy. 

The International Solar Alliance and the European Bank for Reconstruction and development (EBRD) has signed a agreement on joint financial partnership for the promotion of solar energy.

6.“Fake news” named word of the year 2017 by Collins dictionary. 

“Fake News “ word is named as the  2017 word of the year by Collins dictionary.

 7.New species of orangutan identified in Indonesia. 

Researchers have found the new species orangutan named Tapanuli Orangutan in Sumatra island Indonesia.
