1.India Successfully test fired Agni-5 Ballistic Missile. 
India has successfully test firest Long Range Surface to Surface Ballistic Missile Agni-5 from Abdul Kalam Island Odisha. This was the fifth successful test of the missile.

Agni V has the capacity to reach around 5000 km and it is India’s longest range ballistic Missile.  

2.India to set up $350 Million fund  for development of Solar Projects. 
Union Minister Raj Kumar Singh, said that India to set up $350 Million fund for development of Solar Projects and will achieve its target of 175 GW of installed Renewable Energy capacity before 2020.

He said this while addressing in two Day Event of ‘International Solar Alliance Forum’ conducted by International Solar Alliance at the Future World Energy Summit (WFES) 2018, Abu Dhabi.


3.23,000 hectares of Ambasamudram Taluk of Tirunelveli declared as Reserve Forest . 
Tamil Nadu State Government has declared 23,000 hectares of Ambasamudram Taluk of Tirunelveli which includes Manjolai Estate as Reserve Forest with effect on and from September 2018.

It was declared based on the power conferred under the section 16 of Tamil Nadu Forest Act 1882 by Governor. The declaration aimed to restore the original forest and also to give better place for tiger breeding which is the core Tiger Habitat. 

4.INS Vikramaditya affiliated with the Bihar Regiment . 
Indian Naval Ship Vikramaditya formally affiliated with the Bihar Regiment, INS Vikramaditya is the largest ship in the Navy and is the only Aircraft carrier ship.

5.Tiruporur to host State’s first International Defence Expo. 
Tiruporur in Kancheepuram district to host Tamil Nadu’s first International Defence Expo 2018.

6.Kholi wins Sir Garfield sobers trophy.

Indian Cricket Captain Virat Kholi Wins Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy.
