1.Tamil Nadu top in higher education enrollment in country 

Tamil Nadu top in the country in higher education enrolment with 46.9% Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) in 2016-17, according to All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) released by the ministry of human resource. Chandigarh tops with 56.1 % GER among Union Territories ,

2.CWC  Receives CBIP Special Recognition Award 2018 

Central Water Commission has received Central Board of Irrigation and Power (CBIP) special recognition award 2018 for contribution made for promoting the health and safety of large dams with the help of World Bank aided Dam Rehabilitation and improvement project (DRIP). 

3.Boeing will provide training facility for Navy’s P8I aircraft maintenance. 

Indian Navy has signed agreement with US-Based Boeing for procurement of Training Simulator for P8I Long Range Maritime Reconnaissance Anti Submarine Warfare (LRMRASW) aircraft.

P8I has commissioned into Indian Navy on 2013. The complete training facility will be commissioned at INS Rajali , Arakonam by 2021.

4.West Bengal CM unveils official state emblem.

 West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee unveils Official Emblem for West Bengal. The logo contains the Ashoka Emblem on top with theme of Biswa Bangla at Center.

 5.Harsh Vardhan Launches Mission on Eco-Friendly Firecrackers and E-Crackers. 

Union Minister Harsh Vardhan has launched the mission to develop a Eco-friendly Firrecrackers and E-crackers. He urged the CSIR (Council of Scientific & Industrial Research) to develop the of eco-friendly crackers.
