1.India’s first Lithium Ion Battery Project. 

• An Agreement for transfer of technology for India’s First Lithium Ion (Li-ion) battery project has been signed between Council of Scientific & Industrial Research’s (CSIR) Central Electro Chemical Research Institute (CECRI), Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu and RAASI Solar Power Pvt Ltd..
• A group headed by Dr Gopu Kumar has developed indigenous technology of Lithium-ion Cells.
• This indigenous technology will help India, not to depend Lithium ion batteries from Japan, China, and South Korea.
• Currently India is one of the largest importers of lithium ion batteries which cost around $150 Million. 

2.Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit 2018 

• First time Indian Prime Minister attended the SCO Summit after India and Pakistan admitted as full-fledged member.
• All the 8 members of SCO participated in summit including newly admitted India Pakistan, and other countries China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan
• 2018 SCO Summit held in China’s Qingdao City.
• SCO was founded in 2001 in Shanghai by leaders of China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
• India was an observer since 2005.
• India and Pakistan has joined the group at Astana (Kazakhstan) summit in 2017.

3.Chitrangudi , Karaivetti Bird Sanctuary. 

• The Union Ministry of Environment has proposed to declare Chitrangudi Bird Sanctuary and Karaivetti Bird Sanctuary as eco-sensitive Zones.
• Chitrangudi Bird Sanctuary is located in RAmanathapuram District and Karaivetti Bird Sanctuary located in Ariyalur District of Tamil Nadu.
• The aim of declaring Eco-Sensitive Zone is to conserve the Wildlife habits.

4.Agreement b/w India and China. 

• India and China signed an agreement in which China agreed to provide the hydrological data of River Brahmaputra in Flood Season.
• The second agreement is that China agreed to import Basmati rice from India.

5.World Hindi Conference 

The 11^th World Hindi Conference is going to host by Mauritius.

6.Sharad Kumar 

Sharad Kumar was appointed as new Central Vigilance Commissioner.

7.Intercontinental Cup- Football 

Indian football team wins Intercontinental Cup beating Kenya.

8.French open – Tennis. 

Rafael Nadal wins Men’s French Open 2018 beating Dominic Theim.

9.Asia cup- Cricket. 

Bangladesh Women’s cricket team Wins Asia cup beating India.
