  • Serena Williams' - 700th Win
    • By winning the recent match against Sabine Lisicki ( of German), Serena williams (of USA) in the WTA Miami Open recorded her 700th Win.
    • And became the 8th player to win over 700 matches.
    • Martina Navratilova tops the most matches winning list with 1442 matches.
  • IPL Season 8 - 2015
    • The opening ceremony of the IPL Season was held at Salt Lake stadium in Kolkata.
  • Leading cricketer in 2015 
    • Kumar Sangakkara (Srilanka) and Meg Lanning (Australian women cricketer) were named as the Leading cricketers in the world in 2015 by Wisden Cricketer's Almanack (also called as bible of cricket)
    • Sangakkara became the second player to be honoured, Sehwag being the first one to be named Leading cricketers in the world.
