Union Home Minister inaugurates YUVA - a skill development programme.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the YUVA –a skill development programme in New Delhi under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana(PMKVY) which is an initiative of Delhi Police.

YUVA aims to connect with Youth by upgrading their skills as per their abilities, which will help them to get employment under PMKVY.

About PMKVY:
  • It is a scheme of Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) launched in July 2016 for skilling more than 1 crore people in 4 years.
  • The aim of this scheme is to make Youth to take up industry relevant skill training that help them to get better livelihood.
  • Youth with prior learning experience, also get accessed and certified under Recognition of Prior Learning.
  • The Fee under this scheme will be paid by Government of India.
