1.Union Cabinet approves MoU between India and Nepal on Drug matters.

Union Cabinet has approved Memorandum of Understanding on Drug demand reduction and prevention of illicit trafficking in Narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances and other with Nepal.

2.India and Nepal to start constructing Bridge over Mechi River. 

Union Cabinet has approves Memorandum of understanding for India and Bangladesh jointly laying a new Bridge over Mechi River at Indo-Nepal Border. 

3.Commission to examine the Sub-Categorization within OBCs. 

Union Cabinet has approved for setting up a commission to examine the sub-categorizaion within Other Backward classes (OBCs). The commission was set up under the article 340.

4.New scheme "Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana" 

Union Cabinet has approved the renaming the new central Sector scheme for Agro-Marine Processing and development of Agro-Processing clusters (SAMPADA) as Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY) with the aim to increase agriculture, modernize processing and reduce Agriculture waste.

5.National Sports Museum to be established in National Capital. 

National Sports Museum to be established at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium, New Delhi by the Ministry of Youth affairs and sports.

6.Coast guard Ship Varuna decommissioned. 

Indian Coast Guard Training Ship decommissioned. It was the part of first training squadron of Indian Navy. It has memorable services of about 30 years.

7.Nepal PM 5- day visit to India. 

Nepal’s Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has comes to India for 5-day visit. His visit aims to get India committed to post earthquake reconstruction and infrastructural expansion of Nepal.

  

8.Festival of India being Organised in Brazil 

Festival of India is being organised in Brazil from August 31^st to 9^th September, which will showcase India’s diverse culture like classical dances, literature, food and exhibition on Mahatma Gandhi.

Indian Navy Band to participate in International Military Music Festival “Spassakaya Tower” in Moscow, Russia. Spasskaya Tower is the parade of best military music bands of Russia and other nations that takes place yearly at Red Square in Moscow Russia.

11.Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), has cut its project target. 

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana project has cut down its target to construct the houses by 1.2 cr due to less demand. Initially project was aimed to construct of 1.87 crore houses in June 2015.

12.Former CM of Manipur Mr. Rishang Keishing dies 

Former Chief Minister of Manipur Mr.Rishang Keishing dead. He is one of the member of first Lokh sabha.
