1.Government approves
utilisation of part of pulses from the buffer Stock for Government Schemes.
Union
Cabinet on Economic committee
has approved utilisation of part of pulses from the buffer stock maintained by
department of consumer affairs for various government schemes having nutrient
component.
This will ensure sufficient supply
of pulses under various government schemes like Mid-Day Meal scheme, Hospitals
also for other services.
2.India, Philippines
MoU on agriculture and related fields
Union cabinet has given its nod for
signing Memorandum of Understanding between India, Philippines on Agriculture
and related fields.
MoU will bring promote understanding
of best agricultural practices between both countries and cooperation in fields
of rice production and processing, dryland farming systems, bio-organic
farming, and more.
3.The Biaras
Small Hydro Power Project (SHP) commissioned in Jammu and Kashmir.
The 1.5 MW
capacity Biaras Small Hydro power project has been commissioned in Biaras Drass, Kargil Jammu
& Kashmir under the Prime Minister's Ladakh Renewable Energy Initiative
(LREI).
4.Child Rights
week “Hausala 2017”.
Child rights
week Hausala 2017 will be celebrated from 14 November (Children’s day) and the
20th November (International Child Rights Day).
