1.Cabinet approves Rs 9000 crore National Nutrition Mission

Union Cabinet has given its approval for setting up of Rs 9046.17 crore National Nutirition Mission commencing from 2017-18 to reduce the level of stunting, under-nutrition, anaemia and low birth weight babies.

2.Kerala ready for commissioning largest floating solar plant in country.

The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) is going to commission countries largest floating solar project  on the Banasurasagar dam at Padinharethara in Wayanad district.

It was fitted with 1938 solar panels with each has a capacity to generate 260 watts.

3.President inaugurates Hornbill Festival  in Nagaland.

President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the Hornbill Festival in Nagaland. Hornbill Festival is also known as Festival of Festivals which showcase Nagaland’s rich culture and tradition.

4.Sheela priya named new Chief Information Commissioner

M Sheela Priya retired IAS officer has named as Tamil Nadu’s New chief Information Commissioner
