1.India's First National Rail and Transportation University at Vadodara 
The Union Cabinet has given its nod to establish a first ever National Rail and Transportation University at Vadodara, Gujarat. The university aim to modernising the railways and also helps India to become global leader in Transport sector.

2.ISRO and NASA Collaboration - NISAR 
Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) joint project NISAR (NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar) satellite is moving towards realisation by 2021. It is the World’s most expensive Earth monitoring satellite.


3.India has deployed its own navigational system - NavIC 
ISRO has installed the indigenous regional positioning system named NavIC (Navigation with Indian Constellation). It consists of seven satellites in a constellation to provide Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) services in Indian mainland and surrounding region up to 1500 Km and provides services of SPS (Standard Positioning Service) and RS (Restricted Service). 

NavIC will work similar like GPS(Global Positioning system) of US, Galileo of Europe, Russia’s Glonass, Quasi Zenith Satellite System of Japan and Beidou of China 

4.India to chair Kimberly Process in 2019. 
India will assume Chair Kimberly Process in 2019 and India will Vice-chair in 2018.
Kimberly Process is a certification scheme it makes member countries to certify shipments of diamonds as conflict free and prevent any conflict in genuine trade.

It established in 2000 in Kimberly, South Africa, to discuss about to stop the trade in conflict diamonds and to ensure conflict free legitimate trade.

 5.ASI to establish a site museum at Keezhadi. 
Tamil Nadu Government has given 2 acres of land to establish a site Museum at Keezhadi to Archaelogical survey of India.

Union government has given approval to carrying out excavation at Keezhadi in 2018 and all the expenditure should borne by state government. 

6.Bilateral Exercise Naseem-Al-Bahr between India and Oman Navy 
India conducts the naval bilateral exercise with Oman navy called Naseem-Al-Bahr or Sea Breeze. This is the 11th edition of biennial exercise since 1993. Indian Naval Ships Trikand and Teg participated in Exercise.

7.Loan Agreement signed for Pare Hydroelectric Plant . 
Addition Euro 20 Million Loan Agreement has been signed for Pare Hydroelectric plant under Indo-German Bilateral Development Cooperation with the aim to provide efficient and ecological friendly generation electric power.It is located in Arunachal Pradesh.

8.Swarn Project in Railways 
Indian Railways has  decided to launch Project Swarn" with the aim to improving the passenger experience in train including coach interiors, onboard cleanliness, clean toilets,staff behavior, catering, linen, punctuality, security, onboard entertainment and also real time feedback from passenger.

9.Begumpuri Masjid and Sarai Shahji Monuments declared as Protected Monuments 
Begumpuri Masjid and Sarai Shahji monuments in Delhi has been declared as protected monuments of India. 

10.New Scorpion found in Tripura. 

Scientist has found a new species called the Schaller’s wood scorpion in Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary, Tripura..
