1.Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) 
  • Union Governmnet said that the beneficiaries enrolled under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) scheme has been increased to 17 lakhs.
  • PMMVY is an maternity benefit programme, with conditional cash transfers to the pregnant and lactating women of 19 or above age.

2.INDIA and ADB Sign Loan agreement 
  •  India and Asian Development Bank has signed $120 Million Loan to Improve Rail Infrastructure.
  • The loan will help in completing double-tracking and electrification of tracks along high-density corridors to improve operational efficiency 

3.ICN 2018: 
India to host first time International Competition Network (ICN) annual conference from 21st to 23rd March at New Delhi.

4.105th Indian Science Congress
  • Prime Minister NArendra Modi inaugurated 105th Indian Science Congress at Manipur Central University in Imphal, Manipur.
  • The Theme of 105th Science congress is Reaching the Unreached Through Science & Technology”. 

5.Haryana passed death penalty for child rapists.
  • Haryana government has passed death penalty for those convicted for raping girl below 12 years of age.
  • Haryana is the third state to implement this law.
  • Rajasthan is the first state to implement this law and Madhya Pradesh is second state. 

6.Krishi Unnati Mela 
  • Prime Minister NArendra Modi participated KRishi Unnati Mela held in New Delhi.
  • Krishi Unnati Mela held with the aim of creating awareness to farmers about the latest technology development in the agriculture and allied fields . 

7.Pune tops in urban governance 
  • Pune came first in latest Annual Survey of city –systems 2017 in urban governance.
  • Chennai ranked 19th position, in 2016 Chennai ranked 8th position. 

8.New species of water strider 
Scientist have discovered new species of water strider named Ptilomera nagalanda Jehamalar and Chandra, was found in Intanki river of Nagaland.

 9.Weed Atlas. 
The Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya will develop Weed Atlas to provide information on the undesirable plants found in the plains of Chhattisgarh to the farmers.

10.New vehicle scrap policy 
Centre given nod for new vehicle scrap policy , as per the policy compulsory disposal of vehicle which is more than 20 years old from April 2020.

11.Artificial heart. 
China developed Artificial heart with using Rocket Technology.
