1.India Nepal Joint military exercise –Suriya Kiran begins 

India and Nepal Joint military exercise –Suriya Kiran begins at Rupandehi District of Nepal, which focus on counter terrorism and forest fighting operations.

It was participated by 300 troops from both side. This was the 12^th edition of annual exercise and previous 11^th edition was held in Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand.

2.Rising Air pollution slows down India’s solar success. 

Researchers from US and India found that rising air pollution can slow down India’s solar success. The smog, dust and other man-made particles floating in the air deposited as dust on solar panels can ruin sunlight from converting into energy.

Currently it could lost 3,900 Mw of energy which is 6 times the capacity of its largest solar farm, a gigantic field of 2.5 million panels.

4.TRAPPIST-1Planets may have water. 

International team of astronomers announced in February 2017 about the discovery of 7 earth sized planets orbiting ultracool dwarf star TRAPPIST-1, which is 40 light years away from Earth.

Now with the help of NASA/ESA Hubble space Telescope has found that there might be a water on the seven planets.

5.Nirmala Sitharaman become defence minister after Major Cabinet Re-shuffle. 

Nirmala Sitharaman has become the country’s first exclusive women Defence minister of India .Piyush goyal become the new Railway minister.
