Strong Solar Storm hits Mars that sparks global aurora.

A Strong Solar Storm hits Mars that sparked Global aurora and caused the radiation level to double on the Mars.
This solar event was happened on September 11 at Mars, which is 25 times brighter than previously seen by Mars Atmosphere and Volatile EvolutioN (MAVEN) Orbiter.

 Aurora on Earth: 
  • An Aurora is a natural light display on the sky which is also known as Polar light or northern light.
  • Aurora usually seen in the high latitudes of northern and southern poles.
  • Aurora occurs when the Solar Winds enter into the Earth’s atmosphere that collide with gases such as oxygen and nitrogen.
  •  The Aurora occurs around the North pole is called Aurora Borealis or northern lights.
  • The Aurora occurs around the South Pole is called Aurora Austalis or dawn of the south. 

About MAVEN: 
Mars Atmosphere and Volatile EvolutioN (MAVEN) is a Space mission Developed by NASA to study the Martian atmosphere while orbiting Mars. It was launched 18th November 2013.
