1.India to host next steering committee of  TAPI Project. 
India is going to host the next steering committee Meeting of TAPI Pipeline Project. Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline is proposed in 1995 which was in hold due to security issue.

The main objective of the pipeline is supply gas from world’s second largest natural gas field of Galkynsyh, Tukmenistan to India.

    
 2.Navika Sagar Parikrama-Fist ever Indian Circumnavigation. 
Navika Sagar PArikrama is a first ever Indian Circumnavigation of the global by all women crew which will start at the end of August’2017 from Goa and will expected to complete circumnavigation by  March 2018.
INSV Tarini ,55 foot sailing vessel will be used by the women crew .


3.World Bank offers $24.64 Million for “Ecosystems Service Improvement Project” to India 
World Bank has agreed to offer $25.64m for “Ecosystems Service Improvement Project” to India out of its Global Environment Facility (GEF) trust fund

The project will be implementing in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh with aim to strengthen the institutional capacity of the Departments of Forestry and Community Organisations to improve forest ecosystem services and also help to improve the livelihoods of the region. 


4.Union Cabinet gave nod to complete of North Koel Reservoir Project.

Union Cabinet had given its nod to complete the North Koel Reservoir Project in Jharkhand and Bihar at an estimated expenditure of Rs.1622.27 crore. It also approved to store water in lower level which will help to reduce the submergence also protects Betla National Park and Palamau Tiger Reserve of Jharkhand.

Once completion of Project, it is estimated to irrigate 111,521 hectares of land annually in most backward and drought prone areas of Palamu and Garhawa districts of Jharkhand and Aurangabad and Gaya of Bihar.

5.Gvt approves MoU between India and Sweden on IPRs
Union Cabinet had given its nod on Memorandum of Understandingg between India and Sweden on Intellectual property (IPRs), for exchanging knowledge and training programs, technical exchange to raise awareness and better protect of IPRs. 

6.Indian elephant population estimation 2017. 
As per the latest Indian Elephant population estimation stated that India has 27,312 Elephants. Karnataka tops the list with 6,049 Elephants, followed by Assam 5719, and Kerala with 3,054. 

7.SpaceX Dragon successfully attached to ISS. 

SpaceX Dragon capsule has successfully attached to International Space Station, which has 6,000 lbs of supplies and materials on board for ISS crew and to support scientific experiments
