1.Defence Minister Mantri Flags off Navika Sagar Parikrama

Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman flagged off Navika Sagar Parikrama an all women crew from INS Mandovi naval training base, Panaji goa.

The six member women team of Navika Sagar Parikrama will circumnavigate the globe on Indian Navy’s Sailing vessel INSV Tarini. This is the first ever Indian Circumnavigation of the world by an all women team.

2.Movie “The shape of water bags” Golden lion. 

Guillermo del Toro’s monster thriller Movie “The Shape of Water”  has won the Venice Film Festival’s top prize, the Golden Lion. The movie is about a mute cleaning lady who falls in love with merman.

3.Joyciline Jepkosgei smashes 10km road world record. 

Kenya’s Joyciline Jepkosgei broke her previous 10km world record and becoming the first women to complete 10 km distance under 30 minutes off the track.

She completed the distance in 29 minutes 43 seconds at Prague Grand Prix that eclipse her previous record of 30 minutes 04 seconds

4.Sloane Stephens won Women’s US Open Title 

Sloane Stephens from US has won the 2017 Women’s US Open Tennis Tournament beating Madison Key by 6-3, 6-0.

5.Marc Marques wins San Marino MotoGp 

Marc Marques wins San Marino MotoGp and join with joint top of the world championship standings with Andrea Dovizioso.
