1.TN Govt fixes Rs 1600 as Maximum supporting price for paddy. 

Tamil Nadu Government has fixed Rs 1600 as Maximum Supporting Price (MSP) for Paddy for the 2017-18 Kharif Season.

Center had fixed the MSP for Grade A Variety as 1590 and common variety as 1550. Tamil Nadu Government said that it will give Rs 70 extra for Grade A Variety and Rs 50 for Common variety.

2.Union Minister laid Foundation Stone to protect Majuli Island from natural disaster 

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has laid foundation stone to protect Majuli Island from Flood and Erosion in Assam.

Majuli Island is the largest Riverine Island in the world located in Assam. It is often victim of both flood and Erosion due to its Geographical area. It is surrounded by Brahmaputra River on the south, Kherkatia Suti, Luit Suti and Subansiri Rivers on the North which is prone to both flood and erosion almost all over the year. 

3.UDAY Coaches to be roll out Soon.

The wagon workshop Perambur Carriage Works will roll out the Utkrisht Double-Decker Air-conditioned Yatri Express (UDAY) Coaches soon which is nearing completion. It is a double-decker air-conditioned train will introduced between Coimbatore and Bangalore.

4.Hyderabad gets India’s first Robo Cop. 

India’s First ROBO Cop launched in Hyderabad, which is capable of doing Police Duties.

5.Jetu wins gold and set new national record. 

Jetu Rai Wins 50 m Gold and set a new Nation Record by scoring 233 at 61^st National Shooting Championship held in Trivandrum. He rewrote the record of 226.9  set by Amnpreet.
