1.UDAY's TN Performance 

• Tamil Nadu has ranked lowest in Quarterly performance of State distribution companies till Dec’17 after joining Union Government’s Ujwal DISCOM Assurance Yojana (UDAY).
• Tamil Nadu has ranked 24 in state ranking. 

What is UDAY?

Ujwal Discom Assurance Yojana is a central Government Scheme to get permanent solution for financial Crisis for Electricity board. It is introduced in November 2015 by Power, Coal & New Renewable Energy.

2.India Sign Loan agreement with ADB. 

India has signed $84 M loan agreement with Asian Development Bank for improvement and expansion of water supply in Bhagalpur and Gaya towns in Bihar.        

3.Global Corruption Perception Index 2017. 

• India Ranked 81^st in Global Corruption Perception Index 2017 , while India ranked 79^th in 2016.
• New Zealand tops  the list , while china ranked in 77^th place and Pakistan in 117. 

4.Dhanush missile 

• India Successfully test fired Nuclear capable surface to surface Ballistic missile Dhanush also known as Agni III from Abdul kalam Island, Odisha.
• It has the striking range of  350 KM.
