The first National workshop on POSHAN Abhiyan conducted by Ministry of women and Child development held in New Delhi.

The aim of the POSHAN Abhiyaan is to address the malnutrition through Convergence, Use of Technology and a Targeted approach

About POSHAN Abhiyaan. 

• POSHAN Abhiyaan was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on International Women’s day (March 8 2018) in Jhunjhunu , Rajasthan, to boost nutrition among children and women.
• It targets to reduce stunting ,under nutrition, anaemia.
• It also targets to reduce the low birth weight by 2% per annum.
• It also targets to come down stunting among children in 0-6 years from 38.4 % to 25% by 2022.
