1.World Water Day- March 22 
  • World Water Day has been celebrated across the world on March 22 with the theme as “Nature for Water”.
  • It is celebrated focusing attention on the importance of water and to preserve it.

2.Parivara and Talawara. 
  • Union Cabinet has given its nod for including Parivara and Talawara community into ST list of Karnataka.
  • Parivara and Talawara which means Nayaka.
  • People belongs to Parivara and Talawara can get Scheduled Tribe Certificate from State Government of Karnataka. 

3.Paramparagat Krishi Vikash Yojana 
Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Radha Mohan Singh has said that government started Paramparagat Krishi Vikash Yojana scheme to promote organic farming in India.

4.Ayushman Bharat – National Health Protection Mission (AB-NHPM) 
  • Unoin Cabinet has launched the Ayushman Bharat – National Health Protection Mission (AB-NHPM)
  • Scheme which will benefit 10 crore families.
  • It will give health benefit cover of 5 Lakhs per family per year.
  • This scheme will subsumes RashtriyaSwasthyaBimaYojana (RSBY) and the Senior Citizen Health Insurance Scheme (SCHIS), 

5.18 new missions in Africa by 2021 
  • Union Cabinet has given its nod for opening 18 new missions in Africa by 2021 to implement commitments of India-Africa Forum Summit (IAFS-III).
  • This will help in outreach African continent and engage with Indian diaspora.
  • It also helps moving towards strengthening cooperation and engagement with Africa.
  • 18 new missions are in Burkina Faso, Chad, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Republic of the Congo , Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Mauritania, Rwanda, Sao Tome& Principe, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Swaziland and Togo 

6.Jack fruit as State Fruit. 
Kerala Government has announced Jack fruit is Kerala;s State Fruit.
