1.India-Afghanistan Agreement 

• Union cabinet has given its nod in agreement on cooperation in Food safety and related areas between India and Afghanistan.
• It was signed between Food Safety & Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation & Livestock, Afghanistan 

2.Agreement between Indian Army and HDFC Bank 

• Indian Army has signed agreement with HDFC bank regarding the defence Salary package.
• The agreement will help the requirements of serving soldiers, pensioners and families and also provide opportunity to access modern banking facilities. 

3.NIRF Rankings 2018: 

• As per the national institutional ranking framework (NIRF)ranking  Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru bagged the overall best institute in India.
• Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-M) adjudged the best engineering college in India.
• Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad (IIM-A) is the best management institution in India.
• All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) bagged the best medical institute in India. 

4.2017 National Highway Growth. 

• Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that there was 20 % growth in construction of  National Highways in 2017.
• It has laid 9,829 km Road constructed in 2017. 

5.ASPIRE: 

• NASA successfully tested the Mars landing parachute called The Advanced Supersonic Parachute Inflation Research Experiment (ASPIRE).
• It will help NASA’s Mission to land safely in MARS.
