1.India on Priority Watch List. 
  • United States Trade representative has once again placed India on Priority Watch list in its annual Special 301 Report to address intellectual property related challenges.
  • It has placed 12 Countries including India in its Priority Watch list.
  • Other countries in the list are Algeria, Argentina, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Indonesia, Kuwait, Russia, Ukraine, and Venezuela 

2.International Buddhist Conference 
International Buddhist conference held in Lumbini, Nepal with the theme “Lumbini Nepal”. 

3.LCA Tejas successful test fires 
Light Combat aircraft Tejas successfully test fired Derby air-to-air Beyond Visual Range Missile off the Goa Coast.

4.India’s longest-serving Chief Minister.
  • Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Chamling becomes India’s longest-serving Chief Minister as he completed 23 years, four months and 17 days of uninterrupted service in office.
  • He broke the record set by former West Bengal CM Jyoti Basu, who held office for 23 years.
  • Pawan Chamling founding president of the ruling Sikkim Democratic Front. 

5.15th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas
Union government has announced that 15th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas to be held in Varanasi in January 2019
