1.Tamil Nadu’s Green Cover.

• Tamil Nadu registered meagre 102 sq.km increase in green cover as per latest India State of Forest Report 2017.
• Total Green cover is 30,952 sq.km (26,281 sq.km forest cover and 4,671 sq.km Tree cover).
• It is 23.80% of Tamil Nadu’s Geographical Area and 3.86 % of Country’s Geographical area.

2.Agricon 2018’ and ‘Agriexpo 2018 

President Ram Nath Kovind, inaugurated the international conference ‘Agricon 2018’ and ‘Agriexpo 2018’ at Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology (CSAUT), Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

3.Revenue Commission. 

• Punjab Government has constituted Revenue Commission to bring greater efficiency and accountability in Revenue Department.
• It will be headed by (Retd.) Justice SS Saron of Punjab and Haryana High Court.
