1.World Environment day 2018 

India hosted the United Nation’s World Environment day on June 5 with the theme of “Beat Plastic Pollution”.

2.Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan 

• Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan has been launched to aid , assist and advice to farmers about how to improve their farming technique and enhance their income.
• It will be implemented in 25 villages which has more than 1000 population each from Aspirational Districts identified in consultation with Ministry of Rural Development. 

3.‘JANAUSHADHI SUVIDHA’ 

• Union Government has launched Oxo-biodegradable Sanitary Napkin called JANAUSHADHI SUVIDHA – under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP).
• It aims to provide cheap , affordable, hygienic , easy to use and disposal to the underprivelleged women in India.
• SUVIDHA Napkins will be available for Rs 2.50.
• The main feature of this napkin is it will become biodegradable once it reacts with oxygen after it is used and discarded.

4.Malabar 2018. 

• 2018 Malabar Joint Naval Exercise between India ,Japan and USA to be held in Guam, USA.
• 2017 Malabar Exercise held in India.

5.Justice Aruna Jegadeesan 

Tamil Nadu State Government has appointed one-member commission under farmer Justice Aruna Jegadeesan  to probe the violence broke out during anti-sterlite protest in Tuticorine.

6.Sunil Chetri 

• India Football team Captain Sunil Chetri becomes the 2^nd Indian footballer to play 100t international game.
• First Indian to play 100 International Football is Bhaichung Bhutia.
