• It is a communication satellite also known as South Asia Satellite.
• It was successfully launched by GSLV F09 launch Vechicle on May 5, 2017 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota of Andhra Pradesh.

Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in english it means Non Resident Indian Day (NRI Day) is celebrated every year on Jan 9th.

Einstein Ring is a deformation/distortion of a light from a source (like a star or galaxy) into a ring by the bending of the light rays (gravitational lensing) from the source due to a massive galaxy or a back hole known as the lens.

The bending of light by a gravitational body is known as Gravitational Lensing. It was first predicted by Einstein in 1912.

WTO is intergovernmental organisation which regulates international trade. It acts as a forum for negotiating trade agreements and a negotiator where the member nations try to sort out their trading disputes. 

• Before the existence of WTO there is a predecessor GATT. It stands for General Agreement on Trade and Tariff.

LOON is a project by Google for providing internet access to remote areas using LTE (Long Term Evolution / 4G) technology in the floating balloons.

• The balloons are made to float in the stratosphere (20km Height) of the atmosphere where the wind speed is low.
• The Stratosphere consists of different layers in which the speed and the direction of the wind varies.
• So, we can change the position of the balloon just by varying the density and volume of the gases in it.
• It is powered by the solar panels in it.
• Each LOON was designed to provide the internet service to an area of radius of 20 km.
